Default M/T drag radials and 10 bolt on street

I've been considering purchasing a pair of M/T drag radials to help hook on the street. Currently I have BF Goodrich KD tires and with my power (445rwhp n/a, 560rwhp nitrous) and torque converter (Circle D 4C w/ 2.5 str) the car either goes sideways when I get on the throttle or the tires light up.

The problem is I'm still on the 10 bolt since I don't really drag race it alot and I only drive the car on nice sunny weekends. Do yall think the 10 bolt will hold just for spirited runs on the street? (nothing crazy)

Just looking for comments from people that may be running drag radials with an A4 and 10 bolt on the street.

I would say it would hold up.go for it.I was in your position until I found a currie 9in. and ditch the 10bolt.its more foregiving on a a4.

I'm still on my stock ten bolt! Make sure the rear end fluid is good and go for it!

I would say et streets are a bit overkill for your setup on the street. I get my power down to the ground with BFG drag radials, on the street that is.

I have had to upgrade to mickey's for the track though.

Since you are an A4 you will have better luck , but Mickey's always kill rear ends *10 bolts* so just make sure you can get a hold of a replacement when and if it does break!

Really? Always? At what track? At what PSI and with what kind of track prep? What about on the street? Will it break when it's wet out too? With what kind of clutch? Are you talking with huge clutch dumps or slipping out?

I mean, that's a bold statement and with a sig. pic and location such as yours you must be an expert!

I'm tired of reading such regurgitated garbage all the time. Put the keyboard away and go waste some oxygen somewhere please.

Thank you

since you said you hardly race and more street driving, id say nitto 555R drag raidial would be a better choice, they seem to do well on the street and last longer. we have been running DR's in auto cars without issue on stock rear.

The videos below were after about 8 launches at the track on a 150 shot. I was spraying it once I got the car rolling a few feet off the line and the rearend still broke and took the tranny as well.

These runs were on a 275/50/15 MT Drag Radial. From a roll you will be ok but from a dig it's just a matter of time.

YES ALWAYS, just a matter of time, want some proof
https://ls1tech.com/forums/gears-axl...olt-break.html Here's the cake now it eat!
how about you add some helpfull information to the thread before he breaks his rear end because he thinks its indestructible there are more people breaking them with stickey tires than there are without, am I saying he will 100% break it, no I've had a few friends pull 1.7 60', others not so lucky..I broke my rear with just bolt ons, a cam and nittos, the op stated he was auto...Autos STILL break them...
If you read my post you will see that I said he will have better luck, you are stupid if you think there is no chance in hell that his rear wont break... How do you know it won't break, are you an expert....?!?! The better question is Are you psychic?!?!
