tach lead not hooked up

tach lead not hooked up 03 5.3 custom harness in hot rod.....I have not hooked up the tach lead and the injectors are not pulsing....could this be the problem.....what do I hook the tach lead to?

What do you mean tach lead? to the gauge?
Do you have crank and cam signal? Fuel pressure? Was the VATS system deleted from the computer? There could be a # or reasons you have no injector pulse.
