Try NTB as a tire technician. I worked there for a year in college. You don't do a lot of "work" on cars, but you get to be around them and learn a lot of manufacture styles by checking out the engines while you're doing oil changes. You can also learn how to do a lot of things other than tires and oil. I'm now the "alignment specialist" at the shop I work at and I learned how at NTB without any classes.

You start around $8 an hour for a month and then go on commission. I used to average like $9 an hour and I took smoke breaks after almost every car lol.

Tell them you can start full time (if you want) and that you need to be part time when August rolls around. They were always really good about working around my schedule. And they're open late so you'll have plenty of time to get your hours in after school.

tickets are a bitch! well im selling the truck and keeping the camaro now and am just going to fix it back up, already have an oem ss hood and spoiler on the way to put on it and then im taking it to have true duals put on and have to put a ls6 intake back on it and itl be good for a lil while, but once the truck sells il have plenty of $$ to mod it NTB isnt too bad to work at though, but im also going to apply at firestone and discount. either that or im going to be a personal trainer at my gym.

the best thingsabout firestone are 1) they are very quick with hiring, i applied on a tuesday and the following monday i was starting work. 2) its damn near idiot proof as far as job stability is concerned. and 3) it pays the bills and i get to be outside.

update iv went to every auto parts store around here and so far no one is hiring, i tried the firestone place but the manager basically told me that he doesnt want to train me and leave when the summer is up. Most of the jiffy lube places around my area arnt looking for people either. So does anyone know who is hiring at all??? it does not have to be automotive related at all i just need a job at this point
