Default Help on best ideas for LS2 rebuild...

I am new to the whole LS motor...so i am goin to be on this site quite a bit lol. what i was wondering if anyone could help with is, im already doing long tubes and full exhuast and was also planning on a cam. i was talking to a buddy and he said mine as well rebuild the motor a bit too while im digging in.

So i am asking to the LSX community what would be the best route to go for the money vs. HP for my LS2 motor..i have a few ideas but am welcome to anything...also i havent bought the cam yet which one would give me a nice lumpy rumble..bluh bluh bluh tone ha thanks guys.

is the motor blown? have you confirmed that? if you want you can go thru and forge the internals etc. spend some time in the internal performance section and search...lotsa good info on here.

i personally wouldnt bother with a complete rebuild unless the motor is blown. throw a cam in it and go!

x 2 if it isn't broke, no need for a rebuild. Unless of course you have like 200k miles

If i wanted to bore n go with new rods n pistons...what is a common size ppl go with on these ls2 motors. not wanting to get super aggresive, but def. some extra power if im gonna do it

go with a 402 kit from texas speed.
