Turbo for '97 LT1
Hey, I wanted to surprise my boyfriend with a brand new turbo for his car. He's been wanting one forever and hasn't had the money to buy it. Pictures of the car are in "my garage". If someone can let me know where I can find a brand new or lightly used turbo or if youre selling one. I want to buy it so he can put it in his car and race it this summer. Thanks for the help!!! xoxo Anita

The best place would be to check the classifieds section. If you are just looking for a turbo itself, you will find them in the "LSX parts" and "non-LSX parts" section.
For now, I am going to move this thread to the "parts wanted" area. There are not many companies manufacturing turbo kits for the LT1. Turbo Technologies (TTi) is the only one that I can think of. Most turbo LT1 setups are custom builds that are fabricated by either speed shops or the car owners themselves.
Since you are in Chicago, you may want to talk to Speed Inc. They are a Chicago based speed shop that has one of the best turbo kit fabricators in the world (Jim Moran). Their website is: www.ls1speed.com
There is also STS (Squire Turbo Systems) if you want a "rear" mount turbo setup.

Wow, I can't believe that I forgot Realquick's turbo setup. I guess that's what happens when you make posts past your bedtime As mentioned: www.lt1boost.net
