How much sq.ft of sound deadner is needed to do the trunk area in a Camaro? Looking to do the trunk for now.

Thanks

I just did mine a week or so ago, bought 40 sq ft, it would be enough to do the truck area and possibly go over twice in some spots, but 40 sq ft will be enough.

I used 36 sq.ft of Dynamat Xtreme on my 89. Covered the entire rear, over the gas tank, back or the seat, speaker opening and still have some to cover the floor area on both sides. :D

Don't do the whole area. Only do what rattles. Do not use it for road noise or anything else - if that's your problem, you need foam.

What are the problem areas in the trunk?

BTW I'm not doing it for road noise, I have a single 10'' RE Audio/stealthbox. I'm looking to rid of the rattles in the trunk and hatch.

They're more likely from plastic trim.

Yes, or the trunk latch mechanism. If that spring starts rattling it'll make a lot of noise.
