Default Newbie LSx GMC Jimmy swap Questions..

I have recently bought a GMC Jimmy, to have as a DD, it is 2WD, I have lowered it and put the factory gm SS wheels. It looks pretty good, too slow though so I am putting in a 5.3 w/ some ls1 stuff on it into the truck. Questions I have are to do with the bracketry(?). On the 4.3, could I or not used the factory a/c compressor, alternator, and ps and buy a fbody water pump to line all of them off of? I feel like I have pretty decent fabrication skills and was planning on using round tubing to build the brackets. Please let me know why this will or wont work, Thanks alot.

you could use the truck accessories. You will have to notch the frame to allow the A/C compressor to clear. and yes, you can use all of the accessories.

I suggest going to s10forum dot com and reading the LSX forums. Lots of good info!

if your building brackets then yes you could use all your 4.3 parts. otherwise the 4.3 alt and ps bolt right to the truck 5.3 brackets.
