It is real. No it is not complete. It ha been updated with 2007 body work. The motor is in Beverly Hills and it's foir sale at $65,000 and does not run. It is basically a shell. You must buy motor, tranny, electronics, and pedals. The price.........$2.1 Million. I was at a local Ferrari store and it just so happened that I was talking with the store owner. That's how I found out that this was for sale.

absolutely sick:drool:
i wonder what that thing would do, if you geared it properly and put full on slicks, in the quarter?

I hate it when they tire shine the tread patch on the tires too.

If you could launch an F1 car halfway decent it would run in the 6's, especially a 2002 car with a V10, they were nearing 1000 HP.

This chassis number had a recorded top speed of 247mph. There is no tire shine in those. I smeared my hand across one of them to make sure. Owner also says no shine has ever been applied either.

Huh. Sure does look like it though.

F1 Cars have a niffty launch mechinism, same thing that is in the Bugattie Veyron....put it in gear and it won't move till you rev it past a certain RPM then the Clutch engages and off you go...

you think 6's. IMO, you would have to have your shit on tight in any vehicle to pull a 6. They have the MPH, but I don't think they have the "out of the whole" section covered. They are sick fast vehicles, but I don't think they could pull a 6, again, just my opinion

Strangely interesting. Could you imagine driving that up and down the PCH ??

I knew an Fbody guy from Texas would ask this :jest:
First, you'd have to spend another cool million on a good running engine and another few hundred thousand on a "properly geared" transmission.
Second, you'd probably shatter everything trying to launch this car at a drag strip since the suspension is set up for a tight road course.
third, the people who have the cash for this thing would let it sit in a garage under a cover rather than rag the shit out of it on a drag strip.

But, I could see a low 7 or so based on the figures that Chevyweatherman mentioned.

Heres some figures I found for the 2006 Renault R26 F1 car with the less powerful V8 motor of around 760hp compared with the earlier V10 with over 900hp

0 to 100 km/h (62 mph): 1.7 seconds
0 to 200 km/h (124 mph): 3.8 seconds
0 to 300 km/h (186 mph): 8.6 seconds*

I think that car would be more like in the flat 8s.... Just because of the way they launch

Yea, I mean like I said, if there was a way to launch it hard. You are right though, they way they are made it just isn't going to happen I suppose. I would venture to guess that if you gave the F1 mechanics the goal and a few hours to make some adjustments, the darn things would run high 7's at least.

wait a minute doesn't F1 start a race from a stand still? If they do that would make me think that a launch would be pretty important. I would like to see this happen. I wonder what a NASCAR car would run in the quarter? What would a Top Fuel car top out at if they let it go 1 mile? What would a WRC car do in the quarter?

They have taken NASCAR vehicles to the 1/4 before, and the one I'm thinking of ran a 10.3 at like 140 or something crazy.

They do start from a stand still, but then they need to run a road course for 90 minutes straight so the car really isn't optioned for a mega-launch. They do get off the line damn good, however. They don't have launch control anymore (outlawed) but that made them get off the line even better.

@Super Speed,

A go kart huh?:eyes::gtfo: Hope you were being sarcastic.

it would be interesting to see one of those run down the 1/4 mile, i think it could defintely be a mid 7 car, but thats IF you change suspension, gearing, etc. plus put on their launch control anymore. those F1 mechanics are the best of the best, and i can see them being more than capable of doing it.....now if only they would, just for shits and giggles :bang:

I'm pretty sure they gear a fuel car to top out right at the end of the 1/4 (or 1000' now) just like any other drag car.

Here's something to give you guys an idea of how an F1 car would launch and go from a dig.. I know of another one just havent found it yet.. Working on it though.

Looking at the comments, that is a F3 car in the video, nowhere near as fast an F1 car.

you'd have to be a complete moron to want to drive this thing in the 1/4 mile! Not one part of an F1 car is designed for 1/4 mile racing. This is the one car that you should want to dive into a corner with and then go through the corner at 150+...
