Default 241 Heads on a 98 block

Do I need the Gen 3 or Gen 4 head bolts to use 241's on a 98 block? Thanks.

To answer your question, 241s are stock heads from LS1 fbodies, so that would be Gen III bolts.

My question is why are you putting 241s on? The cost of bolts and gaskets really isn't worth the minimal gains you'll get. Plus, if they didn't come with the heads, you'll need new coil pack brackets and valve covers and hardware.

I'm doing an LS swap in a 95 B4C. I have a 98 long block I purchased with a bad valve guide. I recieved a set of 241 heads with comp 918 springs on them when I sold / traded a 6 liter block. Rather than replacing a valve guide on heads that don't flow as well as 241's I'm swapping them. I already have new gaskets. The coils came with the long block and I already picked up the valve covers and brackets with hardware for $40. Hope I answered all your questions. Thanks for answering mine.
