"I" was embarrassed for the Vette owners at HRP "I" was embarrassed for the Vette owners running at HRP on Friday night 5-29-09. There was a white coupe and a silver coupe which ran a best of 13.1 something in the quarter mile. I believe the worst time between them was a 13.35.
On the bright side there was a red Z06 which ripped a 12.1 something. That was impressive.
Are the new coupes really that slow? or were these just poor driving skills?

Driver and conditions (weather). The C6s are easily 12 second cars off the showroom, even the LS2 cars. Were they auto or manual?
I would kick myself if I couldn't pull off an 11 second run in my C6Z.

That would be me. Right now this same car is a 12.40-12.50 car.

I ran a silver C5Z near the end of the night that didn't do so well either. I think he was waiting to run me too, poor guy. As for the conditions though I ran pretty good, especially considering I wasn't able to do any tuning. I was down a few mph but still managed an 11.54

I ran a silver C5Z near the end of the night that didn't do so well either. I think he was waiting to run me too, poor guy. As for the conditions though I ran pretty good, especially considering I wasn't able to do any tuning. I was down a few mph but still managed an 11.54
there was a eb z06 running low 12's, looked like he was trying for an 11 but i dont think he quite got it.

Yeah I was there that night watching... I think those corvettes were bad Driver problem.
Although my friend was running his blue C6 on street tires and his best run was 13.xx at 129 mph. Then his wife took over and managed to hit 12.8...lol.
That car is easily low 11s car if not 10s....with Tires of course.
