Ok, I just got my 8.8 rebuilt and installed, i had a 3.5 inch aluminum Driveshaft made locally, i had a harsh vibration problem and it ended up being a bent yoke from the Rear to the driveshaft, i had a chromemoly one installed, most of the vibrations are now gone. But, now i have a very noticeable whine when i am coasting( slowing down with clutch disengaged) at 10 to 20mph and 40 to 60 mph it is even louder. when i am accelarating it goes away. So i think it could be driveshaft related. i have had a 12 bolt before and that wined but it was low pitched and consistent at all speeds, this is pretty loud and noticeable and nonexistent coasting at higher speeds or between 20 to 30 mph. Any suggestions on what it could be? I have 3.90 gears installed and beefed up internals, but nothin crazy. also a spohn torque arm. I drove around withe the bent yoke for about 100 miles before i had it replaced, the u joint had to get replaced, needle bearings were worn out from the bent yoke, do you think maybe this bent the DS? or put it out of balance?

just a guess but i would say tighten your yoke up to preload spec cause it sounds like you have a little slack in there.
