I have been lusting after this car for what seems like forever. I haven't been able to find any dealers near me that actually has one in stock. So, can any of you tall guys out there with one tell me what the leg room is like? I am 6'6", and alway just barely fit in the 99 SS I had. How big is the interior in relation to the old 4th gen.

The interior is bigger than the 4th gen.A lot more head room and easier to get in and out of.I went to look @ one last week and getting in and out of mine is a pain in the ass because of my 2 broken knee cap my legs dont bend all that much but getting in and out of the 5th gen was a lot easier and i am 5'11" and still had lots of head room.I would say about 3"- 5" over the 4th gen so i would say you should be good.

Sweet. Yeah, my two 4th gens were a PITA, especially my lowered 95. Hopefully I can find one this weekend to check out. I was hoping these would be big enough. The Corvettes are way too small for me, and I was afraid they'd make the Camaro small too.

Sit in it then make up your mind. Is it better than the 4th gen? definitely. However I felt for its size it was small. I mean it's the same platform as a G8, no? and that felt MUCH roomier. But I guess that's not high on the list when looking at 2 door go fast cars. ;)

I think it feels a lot bigger than 4th gens. This is kind of at odds with the fact that I felt the steeply raked windshield and smallish windows made it feel closed in, but I think that just needs getting used to. So yes it does feel bigger, but more of a bigger closed in space if that makes sense.

The new Camaro's interior room is pathetic.
I really think you should look at the G8 that has the same performance and weight as the SS but a TON of room inside.
Frankly, I can't understand why anyone would buy a new Camaro over a G8 or C5/C6.

I drove one today. As far as leg room I'm 6' and I had to move the seat forward to get at the pedals. Headroom was good, but at your height I would stay away from one with a sun roof.
What I didn't like was the blind spots when looking to the rear, and the back seat is pretty much useless even with the drivers seat moved forward.

Agreed.
How did GM lose all the room of the G8 when they designed the Camaro?
They're built on the same chassis and both weigh around 4,000lbs.
The G8 is the only choice for the Zeta platform in my opinion .

Even though there are some drawbacks with the interior it isn't going to stop me from getting my 2ss.
If I need to haul people around I will just roll my turbo extended cab.

If I were you, I'd keep the TBSS and get a C5/C6.
If I could only have ONE LSx vehicle, it would be a blown G8 or 09+ CTS-V.
The Corvette offers the ultimate performance package and the TBSS offers a lot of utility with a LSx package.
In my opinion, the Camaro offers ZERO utility, a ton of weight, and performance marginally better than the 4th gen.
The G8 offers all the performance of the Camaro, with 4 doors, and a TON of utility.

If I need utility or the ability to comfortably seat 5 I will just drive my Silverado that has a forged 370 and a front mount turbo. The camaro is gonna be my DD and if I can restrain myself will stay pretty stock.

I'm 6'4" and 340 lbs and I had plenty of room even in a Camaro with a sunroof. If you sit in a new Camaro you will love the room. I would say there is about 3-4" more seat travel and less dash in the knee area than the 4th gens. The 5th gen is great for those of us that are bigger than "average".

I think the headroom sucks. I sat in one and my head almost hits roof. Im only 6 foot.

The seats are adjustable up and down. If they are all the way up then you aren't going to have much head room.

I am 6'1" and drove a SS2 with a sunroof......the seat will drop down alot give more than enough headroom, lots of adjustment front and rear too. The back seat is still the running joke in the Camaro, better than the 3rd and 4th Gen (who was stupid enough to think that was a back seat?) about the same as the 1st and 2nd Gen F-body.
