Default Wierd Oil Pressure at WOT...

My Oil pressure is about 25 or so at idle in drive.

When I start moving it will go up to like 40 pretty quick, but lately ive notices something wierd...

If I give it more gas from cruising the oild pressure will go up but then once it gets to like 3k rpms it will drop down to like 25 then jump back up at higher rpms...

Could this be a bad oil pressure sending unit or possibly something worse?

Thanks
-Scott

mine did something similar and it turned out to be a partially clogged oil filter...

Ya it seems like its the oil pump to me.

When at idle the oil pressure gradually is getting lower day by day when the engine is hot, and when you are on it the oil pressure drops to like 10psi...

seems like a stripped gear in the pump.

i would verify with a mechanical gauge...if it is really @ 10psi then i definetly wouldnt drive it until you fig out exactly what the prob is

A drop on acceleration can mean bearings as clearances open up, then as rpm increases so does OP as the pump picks up speed. Any metal on your drain plug or filter at oil changes???
