I am wanting a 2 gauge pod for my a pillar. I've seen several different ones but I'd like one that replaces the entire piece and looks as if it's supposed to go there. Does anyone know of a good one to do this? Thanks!

yea i hate that too. im gust going to screw it on there, smooth over the edge with some epoxy then paint both or wrap them in new leather. I ve seen it before and it looked good.

I have the two on mine and i don't even notice it anymore but i do have the three also going on soon.

So can you get the 3 gauge one as a whole piece? From what I've read, one of them just goes over the current plastic. Thanks!

Autometer goes over factory piece. Not sure if anyone makes total replacement.

The autometer fits over the original and is held in place with one trim panel screw - you drill the hole or you could attach velcro on the inside and it would be enough to hold it in place as well.

The fit and finish on mine is near stock looking. Feeding the wires down and under the dash for all three guages is very easy.

Car had been stored without my cover for awhile and had accumualated a lot of dust so pic isn't the best.

I used a screw to attach mine but if I had it to do over I would use velcro instead - that stuff probably will hold better than the screw.

I thought it had 4 screws but not sure misplaced the screws. How can one screw hold it and wonder were most people put the screw or screws.

The pod pretty much locks in place as you force it over the original piece. The one screw or velcro is placed at the top just before the break for the t-top. The round hole with slots just to the left of the bottom guage in the pic holds the pod in place also. Once you get it wedged and locked in place it's not going anywhere and one screw will hold it in place.

Ok that makes sense. Did find one guy that was selling one and he had some screws on sides near edges and likely one screw you mentioned.

IMO I would try to find one that is hasn't been hacked with screw holes or buy new and use velcro.

Pic is dark but here is where I inserted the screw to hold the pod in place. Two inches of velcro would work as well placed inside the pod.

Dont use screws, They make the plastic push pins that go in each corner, they are very cheap and should come with it.

I used the push pins. I think made mistake as put three on one edge and two on other edge and one by where t top rod goes in. But think by putting the pins close to the edge made it harder for the pod to go back on nice.I clipped the pins a bit but still mabye they stick out too far .Whatever its on and good enough for now. Not very happy with it really. Hopefully some company will somedway make an actual pillar replacement not an overlay thing.
