Im building a 408 iron block with ls6 heads fully ported, and an ms4 cam. Im looking for an intake manifold that will be good for my build. ive herd good and bad about FAST, and the same could be said about the new edelbrock power flo. what intake do you guys thik would be best for my build. if the edelbrock doesnt fit i would be willing to get a cowl hood but thats as far as im willing to mod to fit.

I have a 408 with a LS6 on it right now, feels like it wants to breathe more, I have been doing my research between the fast 92 and edlebrock, couldnt find definites, but it is about the same price either route, I have heard that both can put up about the same numbers, but edle brock looks a lot meaner, just beware the elbow, i have heard of swapping the elbows has increased the hp by up to 10 hp, (elbow get your vic jr. PORT MATCHED is what i hear is the best elbow out there)

How about the price difference's if you want to get all technical?

$475>$1,100

Maybe you should ask the right questions if you want the right answers

sorry didnt mean it like that. lol but the 475 edelbrock will need a cowl hood and to cut to fit. so it will come out to the same price, if not more. I just herd something about a street warror intake thats suppose to be good.

It's cool, sorry I jumped back.

Anyway, he had a VFN Sunoco hood (I picked it up for $300), He had to cut a small square notch in the back middle of the hood for the Accufab and carb. hat set-up. He didn't have to cut much of the wiper cowling, he was still able to save his passenger side windshield wiper. The window went untouched. He's running 42lb SVO injectors but are maxed out on his NA set-up.

It looks like a lot of things to do to get this intake to work but it's really not and it looks much cleaner IMO. Him and the tuner and streetstalkerZ have been working and finding out the differences in between running the elbow and Throttle Body set-up compared to the 4-Barrel Accufab and the Accufab set-up is definitely making more power. Not sure of how much but, but it is.

I'll just say when he had the elbow and TB set-up in his truck his injectors were fine and not maxed out even on a 250 shot. Now that he's running his new Accufab set-up he's running at 101% duty cycle just NA.

If you want to PM him yourself for more questions/answers his name is Bpowell688

More fuel=More power

Well im just doing a small budget build and i dont want to cut to much on my dd. Which edelbrock was that. I was looking at the new pro flo xt. How much do you need to modify for the pro flo. Also herd mix things about the street warrior manifold.
