Default Contemplating a new LSx build, Rat Rod, Twin Turbo 6.0

Wondering if anyone has seen this done yet or attemted?

I am pretty serious about starting this project, and was thinking just how badass this would/could be..

Imagine, a nice rusty chopped/channeled 32ish-35ish 5 window, slammed to the ground, with some nice skinny white walls all around with wire wheels, rusted looking carbed 6.0 with a couple of rusty looking twins with headlights mounted in/or untop of twins hanging off the side of the motor, 6 speed tranny and can pretty much fry the tires at any speed. To me, the just sounds fun building and driving. I know it would be a ton of work and would probably take a year to build it, but I am willing to fab something together. what do ya'll think?

I WILL build a rat rod...and I will call it a "rat rod" not a "hot rod in progress" like some diehard elitist douchers claim (Burbank Choppers) and I will put billet parts on it just b/c i can and it will have a blow thru carb.

I don't know about the intentionally making it rusty but a TT LSX in something that light would be a rolling casket and a ball lol

Skinny tires??? Like bias-plys??? You don't need any more than a stock 6.0L to make that ride a scary "tire fryer".

I was thinking about building a sleeper/erat rod style truck myself lately. I have a 6.0 and was thinking just a single turbo but duels would be pretty cool. I wouldn't mind seeing another unquie project around here either

Thanks for the input. Just trying to sketch up my build. I want it NASTY looking, extremely low, chopped and channeled low, only front glass. Maybe even a 32-34 truck chopped and channeled.

We'll see what I eventually come up with..

That was actually my plan with the '36 (except on the LC2 motor). Twins were more for visual impact than performance (over 1 large turbo).

The problem that all my designs had though was there was no way to get filtered air to the turbos without exposed filters (which ruined the effect IMO). I even considered using the headlight buckets as the air intakes (and putting some other headlights behind the grille or something).

I'm sure it could be done, I just couldn't come up with a layout that I liked.

My car will eventually be too "finished" to be a "rat rod" so that played into it as well.

We have started a project like that with a 32 chevy 5 window.
