more info then you needed, but maybe others will find this useful.

Camaro/Trans Am LS1 were all drive by cable, corvette was all Drive By wire, so yes throttle body's are different.

MASS AIR FLOW SENSOR PART#'s

Camaro 98-02, Corvette 97-00 gm part# 25179711, ac delco part# 213-353

Corvette LS6, 01-04, ssr 03-06 gm part# 25341604, ac delco part# 213-1150

The Following use the same maf: gm part# 15904068, ac delco part# 213-4160

so wil li lose anything using a 98 maf and tb on a ls6 intake? do i really need the 01-02 stuff, or will i be fine with any tb? and the maf i probably need to get to match the ecm, right? so if i stay with the truck ecm i need 15904068, and if i get a fbody ecm i should look for 25179711. is the output signal calibrated the same on the different mafs, or is each one specific to its ecm somehow?

MAF is calibrated for air intake flow/design..the application is irrelavent, you will most likely have a custom air intake necessating a custom MAF curve
