Default Do I really need to upgrade my 10 bolt iffff

I dont abuse my car? The reason I ask is because Im putting a larger cam and more than likely heads on my car. Dont flame me but Ive never even done a stand still burn out in my car and dont plan on it, its only been to a 1/8 mile track once just for ***** and giggles. The worst thing this 10 bolt would ever be subject to is the 1-2 shift, Im also running Nitto drag radials so its not like theres alot of bite in the first place.

You have a six speed, it's going to break. Even on stock tires with a quick 1-2 shift can take it out. Bob

Start a 12-Bolt, 9" or S60 fund immediately. You aren't putting heads, a cam and drag radials on your car to drive like an old woman.

I didnt think they could be THAT weak. I mean just normal well not that normal "fbody" driving, I do get on it but I never abuse it lol. How long do you guys predict my rear end will last? I live on ft knox too and Ive already been accused of drag racing by some Army personnel who have nothing to do lol. So when I say this car does not get abused I REALLY mean its almost babied lol. Even my girl friend says I drive it like its pampered lol

It might hold, it probably won't though. Like was already suggested, it couldn't hurt to start saving for a 9". With a H/C M6 car it will most likely break at some point.

That really sucks man, why would GM put such shitty rear ends on cars that are capable of making such big power? Well I make enough to have a rear end dropped in with everything else but I just bought a truck and I hate spending so much at once lolol

You don't necessarily have to drop the coin for a rear end right now. Just know that you'll need one eventually.

P.S.: I've always wanted a gold bar. C'mon bro, it can be our little secret!
