Default Worth a Cam change?

hey guys.

I am looking into a possible cam change but i want to know if it will be worth the trouble. In my head i personally think it would be worth it, but i just want to hear what everyone else thinks. the current cam in the car is a TR230. Also on the car are an LS6 intake, PRC LS6 stage 2 heads, a fuel system with a walboro and 42 LB injectors, and all supporting mods. The car has longtubes and LM1 for now. all bolt ons except a ported TB, a UD pulley, and EWP.

Now, I love my 230, and it makes good torque. The car only put down 405 with the heads and the cam. I know the TR230 works great with stock headed applications, but could i have power to gain by going to a Tsunami, or tsunami like cam?

Thank you all in advance for your responses.

here is a graph with the current cam. The bigger numbers were on a 100 shot that went lean so we shut down early

IMO 230 is still pretty big, x2 on the UDP and a Fast! Then again its your car, but the swap may not net you all that you are hoping for with a loss of drivability, IMHO!

tsunami cam seems to make pretty good numbers and theres something to look at about FAST and reverse split cams, either way I want your old parts

PRC 2.5s w/ Tsunami
PRC 215s w/ Tsunami

FAST 90 and reverse split

yea ive read about the Reverse split and FAST. the car maybe drives one time to two times a week. I also have a tuner who knows his ****. I am not looking for a holy grail. just another 15-20 RWHP.

How much do Pred or PatG charge usually to spec a cam?

splatt, just keep the reverse split cam and add a ported fast 92/92 especially if your just trying to get 15-20 more hp.

look at jaSSon and rmtt results with heads and fast on there reverse split cams. heck, just look up some old MTI X1 in the dyno section and see a few stock heads with reverse split cams and fast intakes making 430rwhp.
