Nope, wrong length. Only works for the Th400 swap.

4L80e is supposed to not have a provision for a TQ arm mount so from there you need a new one and you can get some that would work with a 80e.

I converted a M6 crossmember to fit my 4L80. It was a little different in a LT1, but it worked good for about a year, then I got a deal on a BMR one. I still have it lying around. I used some steel and welding to get it to the right length.

Any pics? What did you do for a torque arm mount? Fab one?

Thanks

Anybody have any pics?

Reason I am looking into this is my M6 crossmember was modified when I deleted the passenger side "hump". So if I can fabricate a mount for the trans mount and torque arm, I will do that instead of shelling out $200-230 on a Yank/BMR one

I didnt have to delete any "humps" but I'll try to get pics of my crossmember. It's actually just laying there in the corner since I have a BMR one now.

TQ Arm mount was fixed by using a BMR Track Pack and Subframes.

Ok. Yea, if you have a pic, post it up. I'd be retaining a full length torque arm. So I might need to be creative.

I want to use my T56 crossmember for 4L80 swap, but unfortunately I didn't measure height of T56 tail before I sold it. So my question is, does 4L80 crossmember put tranny mount in the same vertical position as T56 crossmember?

Actually I lied. Sorry. The center of the output shaft is 3 1/2" from the flat on the floor behind the shifter hole were the boot would have mounted.

Thought so. Cause if I raised it 2 3/8" it would hit the floor

Im currently fabbing up my own custom crossmember for my 80, I have my car on blocks, I took a measurement from the ground to the CL of the T56 output shaft, and TA CL before removal, and then installed my 80, I jacked the trans up to get the shaft to the same height, then build my mount to hold it at that height. and the same for my TA mount & bracket, This way I am certain I havnt changed my pinion angle, even though I have an adjustable TA I wanted it to be the same as the T56. Ill probably make a post on how I did this as I am taking alot of pictures.

Could you please measure also distance between ground and bottom of tunnel above tranny tail, so I know distance between center of output shaft and floor and would know what shaft-floor distance to shoot for?

You need to actually measure pinion angles, not rely on somebody elses measurement that may or may not be accurate.

An angle finder is cheap and simple.

I have my trans sitting at the final installed height, I am using an empty case with my new tail housing on it, I dont have the actual tail shaft in so what I did was measure the OD of the tailshaft housing 3.200 inches and then divide that measurement in half 1.600 inches and then add that measurement to the measurement I take from the floor to the tail housing edge. I took a measurement from the edge of the hole on the outside of the floor flange where the T56 shifter boot seal went to the tail housing then add the 1.600 the measurement I have from there to the CL of the trans tail is 3.720 So go with 3 3/4 This measurement is exact. I know my 80s tailshaft is going to be exactly where the t56 was. Hope this helps. (mine floor looks different because I welded a cover plate over the hole instead of of screwing one on like most do. DONT PAY ATTENTION TO WHAT THE TAPE SAYS, I TOOK THESE PICTURES FROM WIERD ANGLES, SO THE PIC IS NOT GOING TO SHOW THE ACTUAL MEASUREMENT.
