True dual 4" exhaust anyone?
Has anyone installed a true dual 4" exhaust with out clearance issues? Plan to put 4" oval pipes on and think it will clear ok. Just wondering if anyone has done it and if so have any pics?

I don't have any that are really going to help unfortunately no. We ran 3.5 inch pipe off the collectors to a super 44 muffler that's mounted under the front seat on both sides, then enough pipe to go back to the rear tires and turn out the sides. There's a solid strap welded to the muffler casing that holds the exhaust on each side to where the factory g-load brace is (where the bmr driveshaft loop attaches). Used a couple small tabs, one on the collector and oen on the exhaust to hold it on in the front, no clamps. Just slid the pipe over the collector about 5 inches.
No x or H, I don't really feel they are worth it on a drag car, never seen anyone really pick enough up when there's a big enough exhaust on the car to be worth the weight and the added work to remove the exhuast. I can drop mine off the car in about 15 min if I want to, no lift no jack if need be, so it's convenient to say the least.

Not sure what dual 4 inch can support, but I talked to a few guys with various different n/a, supercharged and nitrous setups, and they all told me that with dual 3.5 like I did I probably can get into the 7 second zone before it will be enough of a restriction to hamper performance.

Talking with DR.GAS & Spintech the 3.5" is good to 800ish hp n/a. That is right on the edge of what I need and looking for growth in the future so hence the interest in the 4" stuff.
I see that many members don't care for the Spintech mufflers here but I have ran Flowmasters and Spintechs and have gone faster (and quieter) with the Spintechs at the track. This was done on two different cars, one 3" and one 3.5" system but they do cost more.
