Default my wheels sound like a sprinkler

as soon as i start rolling i notice it. by the time i'm doing 35 it sounds like a sprinkler up near the front wheels. its not rotors or pads.

Have you tried pulling the wheels off and just take a look? Maybe you have something in one of the wheels that is hitting or maybe a rock or something is wedged in causing the sound when the tire hits the pavement.

check for rust around the rotor, sometimes ruse can build up on the edge and start rubbing

Let me guess...you have the factory chrome wheels? I had exactly the same problem with my 2000 T/A with factory chrome wheels....it was the chrome peeling on the inside of the rims and rubbing the brake calipers and anything else they hit....peeled off the offending chrome and the sounds went away.

its probly some thing touching it the wheels pull em off and take a look.

+10000 on something touching. I ran over a possum and heard a whipping sound, i pulled the rim off a chunk of that bastard was stuck in my strut rubbing against my tire...smelt terrible.

thanks for the responses. i havent smelled any rotting flesh, but i do have the factory chrome rims. i will go check for peeling.

Default I have the same noise.

Are you sure its not pads or rotors?

My brake pads are due for changing and a friend thats a mechanic said this noise usually occurs if the pads are worn.

I had the same thing happen with my chrome peeling off on my wheels (stock). I was starting to get a little worried. I crawled under the car and peeled it away. Problem solved.
