Head gaskets for 4.005 LQ9+317's+15psi? Hey Guys,
I need to order some head gaskets for my forged 4.005 bore LQ9 with 317's and ARP heads studs. I'm planning running 15 lbs of boost max. I've heard good things about the GM 5 layer MLS gaskets but I wanted to get your recomendations and part numbers. Since it basically a stock bore with a honing, I want to make sure I don't use too big a bore head gaskets and sacrifice gasket surface between the cylinders.

Yeah, I kind of figured my best bet would be the 4.020 bore LS2/L76 GM MLS .051 head gaskets #12589227. Just wanting to see if anyone has had issues/success with them.

I believe those are the LQ4 3-layer gaskets, the newer L76/L92 5-layer gaskets are #12610046.
Both have gone at least into the 8's reliably with thick deck heads.
The thinner oem castings will be an issue before either of the gaskets fail on their own.
I'm running L92's because I'm a broke a$$ so I will have to keep the boost down.
