I had a spec 3, it never slipped when I was road racing with a 500 hp motor, but for the street it chatters at every stop sign. Not fun for a DD.

I was wondering the same thing 125 shot the stock clutch just goes to the floor when hard shifting and slips. Looking into a DD clutch too.

Looks like you are wanting to have your cake and eat it too. I had the stage 2 and it is a great DD clutch, but for 450hp at the flywheel you may be pushing it? My buddy had a stage 3 and it was awesome at the track, but harsh to launch and a bit chattery. I would personally go with the stage 3 for want you are wanting to do.

is the stage 3+ better for dd than the stage3, is it a on and off switch like the stage 3?

Stage 3+?? When I bought mine years ago there was only a regular stage 3. It is very driveable, just not real forgiving. Sounds like the way to go for you.

Stage 3+ will be more drivable than a stage 3 providing smoother engagement and a higher torque capacity. It really does provide the best of both worlds. This is my recommendation hands down. Let me know if you need anything else. Thanks,

Stage 3+ is a very nice clutch, mine had zero chatter and wasnt on/off and it held 600HP ok.

If I were debating between a stage 2 or 3 I would go 3+ no doubt. Its driveable and it holds.

Default Thanks!!!

Thanks for the kind words guys. We're glad that you are so pleased with the 3+. It really is a no brainer in my book too. Of course, I am a bit biased.

Why would anyone want the stage 3 then? Is it just cheaper?

I never had any problems out of my spec 3. DD it, 5k launches at the track, never any chatter, and it held! Never slipped.

what facts do you have, or are you just spewing garbage? what spec did you have, who installed it, what went wrong, did you talk with Jeremy (no, you didnt) that guy goes out of his way to help folks out. I guess if you were giving us details or even an incling of good info, rather than talking garbage, it might be useful to everyone. Im not trying to be rude, but your posting up the same thing in a few threads,,,, you dont like Spec, but why? And dont tell me its cause of "what i read on the internet"

JW...I have been trying to assist you directly on this thread and another, as has David, who has been emailing with you since the 8th and thus far neither of us even have your name so that we can locate your initial purchase in our system. Again...I am asking for very simple info and all I need you to do is help me help you. The ball is in your court. If you'd like I am happy to post the emails that David has sent to you to refresh your memory...just let me know.
