Default Locking clip for clutch pedal/piston

See picture:

the piston came off the clutch pedal holder thingy
and i pushed it back on - but obviously something is supposed to hold it on from coming off again... or lock/clip it in place

i heard a huge snap when it came off so, not sure if its a c-clamp or locking pin

couldnt find anything in the floorboard

thank you

i dont know what your trying to get at, but its a locking clip/tab that you should be looking for.

looks like this; about the size of nickel

since mine blew itself off, i don't know how it looks like when it was on

and reading through installuniv doesn't help as its impossible to get a good pic of it on there

judging from the pic does the more open side go on first and can you guess which side is up

thanks

The open side slides on first until you can slide the smaller part of the hole down into the groove on pedal. When you slide it into the groove all the way, it should click into place to hold the piston on. It's a little hard to describe but you'll know when it clicks into place.

ah i gotcha, its just impossible to push it on with my weak hand due to the cramped space

theres no possible way the rod broke i hope as the rod does look kinda short
like in my original picture post, the rod is at the end
