Van Nuys Blvd Cruz Wensday Just wanted to pass the word that there will be a cruz on Van Nuys Blvd this wednsday the 10th at 8:00pm. they are meeting at Van Nuys Blvd and Burbank Blvd. This should be a good time bring the Hot Rods out and have some good old fashion cruzing.

Van Nuys Blvd cruz back in the day 60's, 70's and 80's usually had 30,000-50,000 people show up every wed nite. it was the place to cruz. this will not be that big but it should be a good. time.

I don't know who is starting this but I am def. down. A lot of the youngsters don't remember the cruising that used to go down in van Nuys. Think of the Laurel Canyon on Sunday nights and multiply it by 20 to 25 times. Van Nuys and Burbank there is a Ralphs, a used car lot, chevy dealer, and a piano store on the corner. Where are we meeting?

The Van Nuys Cruising Association announced Friday that after a 25 year absence, cruising will return to Van Nuys Blvd on Wednesday, June 10th at 8pm. They ask that there are no burn-outs, light to light runs, open headers, drugs or alcohol, etc. Please keep it cool and do not engage in any illegal activities.

We got there about 7:15 and originally parked in the Ralphs parking lot. Was only about 20 cars there. Someone told us that the majority of people were at the old Rydell car lot. Apparently, the organizer (Groucho)got approval from them to let us use their parking lot. We went over to the Rydell lot and it was filling up fast. Saw many of my old street race buddies from back in the 80's and 90's so was like a reunion of sorts. Was an awesome turnout and much better than thought it would be. They are planning it once a month. Think the next one is planned for July 29th.

Yeah this was a great time. there was close to 400-500 hundred cars that showed up. lots of cruzing down the blvd. sounds like they are going to try and do it once a month.
