I'd get them redone with cloth, all the leather ones seem to be ripped at the bolster.

Default Tan seat cover

I have a Tan leather seat cover replacement. Small tear in the left bolster. But if you are not going to show the car will do for now. You could also have it repaired before replaceing it. I replaced my own, not a very hard job. I paid $450 for top and bottom, ( no head rest ). will sell these , top and bottom. for $50 bucks plus shipping if interested PM me. I have a 97 vert also with the power bolsters. Should slip right on. After removing your old one they slip on like a pair on pants. (tight pants ) ha ha. Pretty easy job though.

First compare the cost of replacement vs. repair. If the damage is anything outside of the stitching, I'd say go for a replacement anyway.

It would be really nice to find some better quality leather to re-do these seats.. even something like the truck leather..or corvette leather..

I would recommend repairing the seats you have and replace the leather if it needs it. I had a good interior shop do mine for me and they redesigned the foam on them and it was the most comfortable seat I've ever had. I did some traveling and did a few 8-10 ours trips and never was uncomfortabul by the end of the trip.
