Default Plug for EGR on LS1 Intake

What are you using to plug the EGR hole in an LS1 intake? When I bought the intake, it had one of the expandable rubber freeze plug type plugs in it, won't look too cool in the street rod. TIA

You bought a LS1 intake? The LS6 intake wouldn't have that pesky hole to plug you know

Never thought about that fact when I bought a LS6 intake and then went... hmmm, how do I keep it CA legal and keep the egr junk...

On one LS1 intake that needed to be sealed, I took a piece of black UHMW plastic and cut it to fit the top square part and glued a solid washer on the underside that fit the hole perfectly. With the UHMW screwed in tight and the washer in place, I didnt have an issue with leaks and it looked stock.

We left the egr tube on the car, but cut it a bit short and plugged it up, changed the codes in the computer to show it was working(since CA checks to computer for codes...), and then made a pipe that has the same design for the egr to bolt down on, fit on the top of the intake and makes it look like a stock LS1 intake for the visual inspection.

Wasn't as hard as it sounds. Took a section of exhaust tube in the right dimension, cut it with the correct radius of the top of the intake, added a tab for the egr to bolt to, epoxied that to the intake.
