will a stock ls2 engine handle a 200hp shot of nitrous safely in a wet kit? what other mods should be considered for safety etc? this is on a 06 gto 6 speed. looking for info on how to do this safely without popping this motor..

When we bought the yj It had the bottle on it the first weekend. lol We sprayed A 200 ON IT ALOT OF TIMES. Once we started actually modding the car we backed it down to a 150. Check your A/F on the bottle and I would even check the fuel pressure while spraying. I would talk to (http://ad.doubleclick.net/click%3Bh=...rousoutlet.com) Dave over at n2o outlet he can get you set up with a good plate kit with a fuel pressure safety switch.

thanks so you think a 150 shot would be the best shot for me as far as safetly of my motor is concerned, and using a pressure safety switch and a purge valve to keep things flowing nice and safely.

Stock it will handle a 150 with the correct a/f Safely__
As far as a 200 I would say watch it for knock and the correct a/f and it will be fine. Wifes yj went 11.70's stock on the 200 shot. With a tune and a underdrive

I would stay with a 150 shot. That seems to be the safest shot with a correct tune on stock bottom end LS motors

Your car will handle a 200 wet shot easy. The tune is the most important thing. Get with an experienced tuner and make sure that the tune is spot on. And use a Walbro 255 fuel pump, 93 octane, and TR7 plugs. Oh and you may want to invest in some slicks! LOL

You could easly do more than 200 with the correct tune and fuel. A lot of people are spraying even more than that...i know there is a guy on corvette forum spraying 275 stock ls1....he was spraying 250 for over a year
