if you want to run a DOT you can run a:

M/T drag radial 275/50 (26" tall tire)

M/T drag radial 275/60 (28" tall tire)

either one of those is plenty of tire for what your doing.

a 275/60 will get you in the 1.30 60' no problem as long as the rest of your car is up to it.

yea they are very good tires. If you go the 28" route, remember its going to take some gear out of the car.

I'd stick with a bias ply with a 6 speed car. I'm done trying to hook on radials with a clutch.

I just got rid of my 275-50-15 MT DRs because with my M6 they still spin leaving at 4500 and spin every shift. Now Im trying out some 27x10.5 Hoosier QTPs and hope for alot better 60s

Yes I have them but havent put them on the car yet.
Im putting them on tonight so Ill let you know how they fit. Seems like my Formula had alot of space with the 26 MTs so I doubt it will have any probs with 27s. We will find ot soon.

I have not really looked at the back side of the wheel well for clearance yet.
But I will NOT need to do any mods to the rocker or bumper. I have 1"+ clearance front and rear of the tire and thats With NON ADJ Boxed LCAs and my S60 tire is centered great!!!

I got one side on last night, caliper still looks strong and did require alot of grinding, but the tire looks perfect and has tons of clearance all around. A++++++ Fitment.
Lines up with the Body perfect. Almost like they were made to fit a Firebird !!!!!
My rim is a 15x8 w 5.5 bs on a stock length axle S60 non adj LCAs. It looks great Ill get pics up when Im done with the 2nd tire.
