Question Cometic Gasket

I'm ready to install my heads and I'm trying to figure out if I can get away with 93 octane gas using a 3.910 bore .040 thick head gaskets or would I be better off with the .051.

I have a 62cc combustion chamber and a deck volume of -.008.

I'm running TEA stage 2 243's
and a my cam is 226/230 .598”/.600

I'll be shooting a 150 shot of juice into it too so if I can get away with the extra compession I'd like too.

Here is your SCR calculation. You should have no issues with 93 octane. I'm DD'ing 11.31.

I have heard others on here saying that a .045 quench is desirable. Is .032 going to be alright for decent combustion?

the tighter the quench the better resistance to detonation...so yes .032 will help you. That a nice tight number.....

Well, the 1st response pretty much covered it, but fwiw, I have a similar setup as you. 62cc 243 heads, w/ Cometic .045's, and 226/236 110lsa cam. Runs great, and I have no problems at all. Good luck with it!

The software is Performance Trends Compression Ratio Calculator.

On a steel rod street engine, .032" piston-to-head clearance is about as close as you want to go. As previously stated, the tighter the quench the better. Improved mixture turbulence increases motion, efficiency, and helps to prevent detonation.
