i found a guy selling a 98 vette a4, with 100k miles. its a badass deal... almost too good to be true, it has the 01 thin 5 spoke wheels, white w/ red int. what should i look for before i buy it? anything particular to this gen vettes besides the seat bracket?

9k bc the leather in the drivers seat needs to be replaced... he is asking 10k but i told him that katskinz would cost me at least 1k to replace the leather on the seats...

there are two vettes locally for sale for under $10k. The 98s and earlier are always cheap. 99s and newer dont seem to change much. Just make sure its in decent shape take it to a mechanic. I mean who cares if it needs SOME work, its only $9k

I remember the 98s didn't have Traction Control.

yea id take it to a mechanic to make sure evrything is mechanically sound. definitely get a carfax. when you test drive it make sure the radios off and youre listening to the engine. make sure theres no knocking or ticking...some valvetrain noise is normal with these engines but not excessive noise obviously

Sacramento/Yuba City. I search the sacramento and San fransisco craigslist everyday. There are some really good deals.

thats cool, and yea steve thats crazy you had problems out of them, i know a lot of guys around here with vettes, t/a's and camaros and they say there's a lot of little annoying issues but nothing serious.
