whats the difference between the ls2 and ly6 in the 2007-2009 1500 chevy 6.0 vortec max?The VortecMax is the L76 (the truck motor). It has VVT and AFM the LS2 doesn't. The LY6 is an iron block 6.0L used in the 2500HD's. The L76/LY6 have the L93 heads and intake.

The L76 is 9.6:1 comp
The LY6 is 9.6:1
The LS2 is 10.9:1
