I don't know of anyone Mark, but why the concern with the specific process?

Just looking. Planning to do something special on the non LS ride. Found several in Ca., hoping to avoid shipping.

I have no idea what PVD is but I do work with a guy who spent $12k on a setup for chroming. I'm fixing to have him paint a couple of engine pieces in black chrome.

Physical Vapor Deposition

You basically vaporize the coating and it is then deposited on the surface of the part you're trying to coat. You can do PVD to chrome plastic and such.

I believe that is what he has. The samples he showed me were on plastic and tiles in various colors. The pieces I am having him do are plastic.
