What else is going to be on the car? You will have lower compression with the LQ4, due to the negative dish in the pistons. What are your plans for the car? What is your budget? If you're looking for help, give as much info as you can.

AFR's hands down. I've got them on sale as well
Read the stickie, its not just about a flow number.

TFS 215's are a good option as well. Mill for compression and don't forget you need the Yella Terra UL's as well. Big hp from these heads. Can't go wrong with AFR 205's either.

I have a hard time believing anyone got those flow numbers out of factory 5.3 862 castings

My vote is if your gonna spend the money for AFRs you might as well grab a set of Trick Flow 215's or even the new PRC 215 head

Given I don't know a lot about LS engines....I know alot of people love the AFR heads, just like alot of people love the FAST intake. The price on both are high and I think there might be better options. Again I am just an internet racer with no real life experience with either.

I would rather have my stock heads ported by TEA or someone else that know what they are doing that buy a set of 205AFR's.

Let the flame begin.

Good luck getting your stock heads to flow like a set of afr 205's or tfs 215's without hogging them out. Even if they do flow better on paper, they will most likely be dogs on the street until you into your power band. (No lowend grunt) JMO
