Rotation Direction of water pump

Rotation Direction of water pump I have tried search and it has nothing on it that I could find. What direction does the water pump turn. I have a truck with an 408 with a fast intake and a f body water pump. i went to the track last night and through the belt of on last pass and for the life of me can't remember how the belt went. And now it wants to over heat and fans are not coming on. So I am thinking I may have routed the belt wrong.
