Hey guys, I spent hours today going through my hard drive and preparing photos to be used on my website (I'm pooped haha), and I discovered I am lacking good pictures of a few colors and years necessary to make my Paint Color Production Numbers page really shine.

This is the page for those not familiar:
http://brangeta.googlepages.com/4thgenerationcamarohistory2222

I haven't had time to update all of the text, but the photos are as updated as I can currently update, because I ran out of low-mileage Camaro pics that were good quality.

Rules:

1) picture(s) must be good quality
2) picture must be a 3/4 shot like the rest of the pics on the page
3) car must be absolutely 100% stock looking and flawless. Therefore, the car likely needs to be a low mileage car (NO HEADLIGHT HAZE on '98+ cars in particular), and it cannot have a body kit, aftermarket wheels, or any other modification visible in the pic whatsoever.

Years/Cars I need:

1) Please... someone provide a great picture of a '97 in Bright Purple Metallic. I've been looking for years and have never found a good pic.
2) I need good pics of Bright Green Metallic for all/any years.
3) Need a purple pearl picture where the car actually looks purple instead of charcoal like the pic I have on there.
4) My medium patriot red picture is awful quality, I need a better one
5) Need mystic teal '99 to '01 car
6) Navy blue, any year but '02
7) Light pewter, but not an '02
8) '98+ Sebring Silver
9) '98+ Bright Red

Those last two or three should have been easy, but strangely, I've never saved pics. I'm biased towards the '93-'97 cars, so I don't have as many '98+ Camaro pics unless they are Berger or some other special one...

Any help would be great! :)

Sorry dude, those pics aren't clear enough for me to use (well, the rear one is, but I don't need a rear shot). I'm trying really, really, really hard to have only great photos on my site when possible, and this is one section where it is really important.

Thanks for submitting though. If you have any pics that are better, post 'em up!

Do you have any really old pics before you removed the black grill and changed to the Firebird/Trans Am wheels?

EDIT: Looked at the link in your sig. That first pic would have worked, but the previous owner put snowflake wheels on and replaced the 5-star ones. Snowflakes weren't available until 2000. :(

It's important to me that the cars look like they just arrived from being built in Canada in this section, so I can't use your pics, sorry. :(

Do you know anyone else on here who has a Camaro the same color as yours?

Oops.. Didn't see the part where it said "no wheels". But, look.. They're GM wheels.

lol you BGM guys all ripped your grills out. Seems like every pic I find has that mod. I found an absolutely perfect V6 BGM one, but guess what? He had '93-'96 salad shooter wheels on it. :emb:

The hunt goes on...!

I did just add a '96 RS in sebring silver to the site though, so I'm not entirely striking out.

Damn if I would have known this I have a rare 00 Z28 LPM hardtop, but I have firebird rims and I have the 69 Z28 badges all the way around and a aftermarket grille. Good luck on the search.

Well, rarity being a good thing about a car is in the eye of the beholder.

To me, I don't care how rare beige leather is in a Medium Quasar Blue Z28, because I don't think it looks good, so that being rare doesn't increase value to me at all. I'd rather have graphite leather, even if it is more common.

I've been looking for a low mileage '97 Z28 in bright purple metallic for years, and haven't found one. If I found one, and it had a beige/tan interior, I might pass on it, while I wouldn't if it had the dark gray. Rarity can really bite you in the ass if a potential buyer doesn't like your rare options.

'99 Hugger Orange SSes with white leather are popular, so the ones that came with white leather may be more valuable to people looking for a Camaro with that combination.

There were over 8000 light pewter Camaros made in 2000, so it isn't particularly rare but finding one exactly like yours (particularly because of the hard top) would still be difficult. In all of my years of searching, I've only found 3 sebring silver 1995 Z28s with hardtops (like our '95), two were automatic, and 1 was a manual I think. So even with common colors, it's still hard to find your car's twin, unless you have a bright red, black, or arctic white car, which are so common, that you can probably find your car's twin pretty easily.

I'll have the production data for each year on the site in a little while. I have that data; I've just never added it.

The firebird wheels were my buddy's winter wheels he let me borrow, as I hate those stupid snowflakes with a passion. When I bought the car, those were on it... anyway, I might be buying a set of chrome 5 star reg 16 camaro wheels. I also have the orig grille. If I get them this week, I will take a pic and throw it your way.

Cool I will probably go through the info just to learn some more. I know about rarity biting you in the ass, I had a dark bronze mist metallic grand am and that was one of the lowest production colored grand ams built from 2001 to 03, No one would buy it when i had it for sale, the color was the reason, it didn't have the appeal to most people, it was too subtle.

The cool thing is my car isn't a complete stripper, it came with a few luxury items, such as power windows, cruise control, and power locks. I understand the preference thing, that is any SOM fbody to me, that color is obnoxious and really kills just about every fbody in my opinion, but there are a crap ton of guys who love that color.

It is cool to see people keeping the fbody info going, most (not all) but most guys who buy the 4th gens are just some guy/kid looking to go fast out the box, I love the older ones more than my 00 Z28, I will never sell my car but I would spend more time/attention to a first or second gen.

Sorry, but I gotta be picky. I'm trying to put together like... the web's authority on 4th gen Camaros. I can't put anything on there that isn't accurate.

Since you might know somebody from owning a V6 Camaro RS, do you happen to know anybody who owns a factory stock SLP RS? I can't remember off the top of my head what year SLP started offering that (2000?), but it'll be its own page on my site eventually.

Essentially all it was was a regular V6 Camaro with ground effects, Z28 dual exhaust (likely the exhaust SLP would take off Z28s when creating SSes...?), 16 x 8 ZR1 style wheels (as opposed to 17 x 9 ZR1 style wheels which were optional on SSes at that time period) and I think a stripe kit may have been part of the options as well. I'd have to look at the stuff I have on it to be sure. I think stripes only came in silver and black and on a limited exterior color basis.

I may have some pics already somewhere, but I figured I'd ask in case you know anybody.

I don't know anybody, but I thought it was 2001 and I have never seen one with ground effects..

SLP RS Package 01-02

The 2002 Camaro RS package offered by SLP could be added to V6-powered Camaro's for $849. It was available for cars finished in Artic White, Light Pewter Metallic, Silver Metallic. Navy Blue Metallic, Onyx Black, Monterey Maroon Metallic, Sunset Orange Metallic, Mystic Teal Metallic and Bright Rally Red. The RS content included a front grille with the Chevrolet bow-tie logo, an interior plaque with RS badge, 3 exterior RS badges, a dual-outlet exhaust system with a high-performance muffler (adds 5-hp and a throaty exhaust sound) and black or silver striping. The black striping was not available for Onyx Black or Navy Blue cars and the silver striping was not available for Light Pewter or Sunset Orange cars.

Thanks for finding that info, that seems accurate. I'm not sure if I have pics of one or not. When I save pics from ebay and sort them in folders, I don't type whether they are a Z28, RS, etc. so I might already have pics. Oh well... we'll find out when I get around to making the article for them.

I don't believe the 16" ZR1's were standard with the SLP RS package.

I like what you're doing, Brangeta. I have nothing really to add except keep it up. It's kind of odd, actually, the amount of information regarding Camaros is so minimal on the web. Especially when compared to Mustangs.

I've added quite a few pictures to the site, so everyone please check it out. I even added pictures of our cars, and the one that got away from being my first car. Even though I broke the rules with a front shot of my mom's SS, that doesn't mean I'm accepting pics at that angle. ;)

I am still in dire need of a few years of photos.

I need...

2001 sunset orange metallic (odd that I haven't gotten this yet, isn't it? I think there are a lot of them on this forum)
1997 30th anniversary Z28 and SS with the optional houndstooth interior hopefully a little visible
I really really really need replacement Bright Green Metallic pictures if you know anyone who has one or has owned one long enough that they bought it when it still looked stock and might have pics of it stock
2000 or 2001 Monterey Marroon Metallic preferably on a sunny day
1994 Dark Green-Gray Metallic hopefully in lighting when it looks more gray or green than the pic I have where it looks blue
1993 Purple Pearl Metallic where it looks more purple preferably
2000 or 2001 mystic teal metallic
1998, 1999, or 2000 navy blue metallic, preferably a convertible with white top
1998 to 2000 Bright Red/Bright Rally Red, preferably NOT an SS
1998 to 2000 Black/Onyx Black, preferably NOT an SS

I have a BGM z28. Right now it has z06 C5 wheels but I still own the stock wheels, so I can throw those back on and take some new pictures. The only other thing is that it has tint and no z28 side emblems :| I could always buy them, because I wanted to have them anyways :)
Here are some pics with the stock wheels and no tint when I first got the car. The stickers are not lined up, but now they are, and I can take better pictures now if need be...
I really want to help you out, because I want the BGM cars represented well :)

94Z28-MSTGKLR--where is your album? I still need a bright teal metallic Camaro shot in lighting where it looks more green than this:
http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m149/CallawayC8/paint%20colors/95brighttealV6.jpg
and more blue than this:
http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m149/CallawayC8/paint%20colors/96brightteal-SS.jpg
because right now, it looks like they are two completely different colors, but they aren't.
-----------

You BGM guys are terrible .

So far there has always been ONE or TWO things keeping me from using your pics!

turbo86--wrong wheels, no grill, yet gorgeous pictures that would be perfect for the site

RaggedRides--wrong wheels, no grill, great pics, yet they are too artsy compared to the rest of my pics

RaggedRides second attempt--no Z28 badges, and the pics almost make the color look mystic teal

98greenZ28-- no Z28 badges in the pics I could actually use, yet perfect otherwise. Because of the black roof, I can't just upload it and label it as a V6. It'd be a lie too that wouldn't work, because the Z28 has slightly lower suspension than a V6 car.

You guys are killing me.

In the topics on other forums I have posted this in... the BGM guys are killing me in those topics too.

I found this one somewhere, and I could get away with the wheels since you could get them from GM Accessories, but I'd have to photoshop the Z28 emblem black...
http://zmydust.com/images/myz28/z28_13.jpg

These are the old pics I had on the site and the first one is pixelated and the 2nd one is a bad angle and the nose is cut off. You BGM guys do this on purpose don't you? :D

or this one:

rather than bluish like this one:
