do you have to replace the regulator at the same time or just the motor?

not to hijack, but mine is kind of doing the same thing. but the only time i have problems is if it goes all the way down, but if its even an inch above that, it comes up every time. motor or regulator?

if someone has an answer, PM it, so we dont take away from the OP's thread.

I went to advance Auto Parts and bought a new window motor for $29 with a life time guarantee..it took about 45 minutes to replace the old motor..that was 2 1/2 years ago and the window is still moving fast...the aftermarket motor is much better than the factory motor that came in the car.. Just go and buy a motor from the cheepest auto parts store (check prices on line) and don't bother with shipping and all the other crap ya have deal with on ebay ... replace the motor and be done with it...... check out this link for a how to do it with photos ...

No it came with nuts and bolts and I used the high strength Loctite (red) had no problems at all after 2 1/2 years... you could use an aircraft locking nut with the nylon incert if you needed more peace of mind ... I'd just Loctite it and forget about it.
