Default FMIC with my new D1SC kit, Mounting?

Am I going to have to cut my bumper up to make this work? I would really like to retain the stock fog lights and my front plate cover if possible.

Same as most any FMIC, you can remove bumper support and build your own mount OR just cut out the stock front bumper support and mount it to that.

Search this forum for FMIC or front mount intercooler and youll find lots of details of other peoples...

To make foglights work, youd need to have someone tig weld aluminum mounts for the foglights onto the intercooler

SAme as mine also. the shop that installed it had to order a mount/bracket from pro-charger to get it installed. I dont have fog lights so not sure if thats a determing factor.

I have got to the point where my stock fogs and bird plate aren't going to be important until after I get this build complete..

But whats the best way to mount this FMIC, Does someone sell a kit where I can just remove my front bumper support and put in their bumper support kit?

Considering the FMIC isn't a procharger part they might not be very helpful.. I was hoping Bob @ EPP might chime in

I won't speak for Bob at EPP - but maybe if you ask he might sell just his hanger support. But you can make one too and if you do it right you can remove the front metal bumper and run a bar across instead and hang the FMIC on it.

One pic below is of my car during the installation of EPP's fmic kit. I have since removed the steel pipe and replaced with custom aluminum piping - it's lighter and more bling, and you don't have to coat the insides of the pipe to keep from rusting. Note the white bar the fmic hangs on. You will need to make or buy a bar like this - but the mounting holes have to match the mount holes on your fmic - so Bob's bar might not work.

There are many variations of how to mount and route the piping. Do a search.

BTW - since I redid the pipe - the plastic protective piece attaching to the underside of the front fender bolts right on now hiding and protecting my new location for a much bigger filter - a filter will want to add if you exceed 8 lbs of boost.
