That's a simple question to ask, but difficult to answer. Here's the simple answer...it depends.

Post high-resolution pictures of the heads' surfaces, remove all 16 valves from each pair and post high-resolution pics of the valve seat surfaces, and tell us exactly how many miles the valvesprings have on both sets.

The 243 castings are far superior. A set of these along with a professional valve job and just bowl work (without even touching the runners) is worth every penny in performance.
