Default New clutch

I am getting a new clutch put in my 2000 black ss camaro. I heard that I have to baby the car now Is this true? If so for how long?

Its best to take it easy on the clutch for 500 miles.

However, if its a stock clutch (organic) it technically requires no real break in period.

Well, not BABY it, but do take it easy. Try and get some heat cycles into it for @ 500 miles (as said already) but don't really count highway driving as your break in miles though. try and do more stop and go type of stuff. But also, as said, if it is a "stock" clutch, really does not require all of teh "baby" break in period, even though, you will only help out the clutch if you do.

i heard 500mi, but have baby my monster stage 3 for 1000mi.

Our break in is for 500 miles.
