oil in cold side tubing
im getting a lot of oil in the cold side of my tubing
i have a 6.0l with a rear mount tc76 return oil pump is a weldon 9200a a -3feed with a restrictor and a -10 return with a 45deg fitting off the turbo and about 1 ft of line between the turbo and return pump and 90deg fittings on the pump and oil pan and like 8 feet from the pump to the oil pan
pcv system is the ls6 valley cover and everything else capped and a breather on the pass valve cover
any help as to why im getting so much oil would be appreciated
thanks, Gary

Not to hijack this thread with my own questions but...
As a guy new to turbos (my 96 LT1 has a STS kit), is any amount of oil in the cold tube considered "normal" or "acceptable"?
I thought an oil leak in any part of the turbo was bad?
Can anyone chime in on this?

If you have a mass air meter zero oil should be in the cold side. If not you may get away with a thin I mean thin film of oil. On a rearmount there are a couple of things that will cause oil in the cold side. Weak return pump, Bad check valve, Worn turbo. I know some times using the sts harness for the oil pump that relay goes in and out causing the pump to fail and the come back on My advice is to source the pump in a seprate 12 v source and run a switch with a led light and a realy in side the car.I had mine done like that for over a year now.

on the feed side ( you could put a check valve on both if you want)..... i have the STS it and i normally cycle my key a few times to make sure the turbo is empty after i turn the car off.
