Hi
I have 98 camaro v6
I have 102k miles on my car.
Should i use synthetic engine oil?
I heard people saying don't use sythetic on cars that are 100k over.
Any suggestions?

If the car is running fine, stick with regular oil.

Doesn't matter how its running, stick with regular oil.

And don't use synthetic on any car, with any mileage, new or used.

Use regular oil.

Syntheic doesnt cause leaks, they find exsisting ones and the main selling point is the ability to hinder premature wear, the motor has over 100k, any damage or wear that is there will still be there. Why waste the $$$.

tell u the truth i have a 2000 V6 with 95,000 miles and since i have bought my car i have always put mobile1 10w-30 i have seen a difference because my oil runs better for a longer time than regular oil but if ur looking into budget wise go with regular oil if not go synthetic
