Default Destroyed my shift fork!

i wasted my 3 4 shift fork satudray night racing a cobra and i'm planning on replacing it my self. I was just curious as to what other collateral damage i should look for or expect. i've never had one of these trannys open before and am not sure what to expect. any pointers? Can i just replace the fork, or do i need to rebuild my 47k mile 6 speed?

since ur already in the tranny, i would do a full rebuild with some high quality parts. got the list from tick performance
* Bronze 1-2 Fork Pads
* Bronze 3-4 Fork Pads
* OEM 5-6 Fork Pads
* OEM Reverse Fork Pads
* Billet 3-4 Synchronizer Keys (with upgraded springs)
* Carbon Fiber Synchronizer (blocker) Rings
* Steel 3-4 Shift Fork
* New 1-2 Synchronizer Assembly - if their in bad shape
* New 3-4 Synchronizer Assembly - if they were in bad shape, mine were
* New Front Seal
* New Rear Seal

You sure it was the fork? I'm betting you broke the keys.

if at all possible, DO NOT buy your parts until you know which parts are needed. First thing i would is start reading the T56 service manual, it tells you how to inspect parts for damage.

The iron fork with bronze pads will serve you well on 3-4. Billet keys there too.

I also try to not buy parts until I know what's needed.
