Default I tell u what, talk about a shitty 2 weeks.

Well I gotta call today from my supervisor, "u've been layed off". So now my car is down, and I have no income. I've got contacts and have been everywhere but either no one is hiring, or not the right time. I ******* love our new president. This economy is awsome.

went thru the same situation last year! pretty shitty position to be in. for a little while i had that sick feeling like i wouldnt be able to find anything. with time and a lot of searching i found my current employer with help from a good freind! only advice i can give you is to file for unemployment to supplement that lost income while you search for new work!

Problem was inherited by the new president; sorry to hear that you have been affected though! Start networking and you should turn up something.

You cannot use that inheritance excuse anymore. nObama is prolonging this recession with his socialist policies, laws, the steal-out bills, astronomically raising the deficit, etc.

You honestly can't sit there and say with a straight face that this economy was healthy for the past two years either!

The economy was healthy the last two years.

Granted the economy was on its way down already, but Obama is only digging the whole deaper with his so called bail-out plans but lets not turn this into a political debate.

but I guess Im just like everyone else in the gas and oil fields. If u see the money, u think its allways gonna be there and its never going away, guess I just needed a serious wakeup call. If u wanna get political, who the hell are u gonna call when ur lights go out? China? Thats were this country is going if dipshit stays in the office.

What did you do in the oilfiled? If you have any drilling experience and would consider working offshore check out www.deepwater.com . I don't know if we are hiring right now but I do know that we have been looking for people like crazy for the last couple of months. We still have 3 more rigs to crew up one of which is crewing up right now and another one in September.

Wow, I have always thought the oil and gas industries would not be affected. Things will turn around - eventually. I work for the gvmt. and thought we were in the clear for any layoffs, pay cuts, etc. Wrong! They are making us take 6 days off with no pay before September 2010. And, 900 people will be laid off, excluding 3 departments, one of which I'm in and we are self-funded. The other depts. are consolidating since they live off of taxpayer money. No pay raises will be in effect for the next 2 years. It could be worse but I guess no one is immune to what's going on.

Bullshit!!

I am sick of hearing that crap. This president has thrown more money away than any president in U.S. HISTORY! And now he's talking 1 trillion more on healthcare?

Remember now ... one of the reasons the current president was elected was because the previous president had us neck deep in an expensive war.

This is a LOT better ...

Not only that but he is thinking about constituting a 26% sales tax. Obama will not be so liked anymore in this near future but all his followers.
