Default 100k + should I be worried buying?

I am curious how long LS1s will last efficiently with over 100,000 miles on them. I am kind of looking at them and I want an m6 but in my price range most are right around 100k miles and I'm not sure if I should be to worried or not? Also I plan on it being more of a weekend warrior type since I have an every day driver and plan on doing small mods to start. Feel free to share any experiences with this!

depends on what is done to it and what has been done to it... what are your plans with the car?

if it has just been slightly moded and still on stock tune I wouldn't worry about it.

I bought my LS1 5/1/09. Had 109k miles on it. Its a weekend car to me. When I visit home every other weekend, I take it (280mile drive). Its been great to me! Motor still runs very strong and tranny as well! Obviously you might have to do some maintenance on parts that wear out by that mileage (some suspension parts, brakes, belts etc.) My car is stock except for the weld in flowmaster muffler. It'll do great for a weekend car!

I bought my 98 Z28 M6 with 98000 miles on it. My car now has 119000 miles on her and runs just as good as the day i bought her and I daily driver her hard every day, and i mean hard haha. I have only had to replace the clutch and rebuild 4th gear, mainly because this was my first manual car. Never had any problems with her other than that, and I take her to the track as much as I can with the stock 10 bolt. These cars last forever as long as you take care of them!

Got my LS1 with 100,300 on it in Nov 04. She now has 164k and counting. Things I've replaced: Plugs/wires, shocks, 3 sets of wheels, 5 sets of tires, Air intake, water pump, serpentine belt, pads and rotors (2x)
She still pulls strong.

I have 120,000 original owner miles on my 95 Blue Green Chamelion and it remains a great car. No modifications, no major repairs except I just lost the ABS recently and that was no big deal to have repaired. I am a woman and can not work on her myself so I have my car guys take care of my baby. DONKATBOBBY
