Default Which Race Shifter to buy for 2000 Camaro?

Now that i have my TH-350 swap done with a full RMVB pattern. What is the best shifter to use? Ratchet? Gate? What brand or model should i get. I see some people like that Turbo Action Gate shifter and some have the B&M Pro Ratchet. Our stock shifters have a rear exit cable correct? I am probably going to mount it in my A4 console minus the center section. I like having my arm rest on the center. Thanks

Thanks for the reply FF1101. I am leaning towards that shifter. Do i need any additional parts to go with my reverse pattern? Did you mount it in the console like i've seen on here?

Coach
We are a dealer for Precision Performance. Give me a call if you're interested in buying one of these shifters. I'll need some information before I can get you a solid price.

Here is a picture of that shifter with accessories:

the precision shifters are awesome. Im putting one in the stock internal car we got since were going to a turbo 350 rmvb as well. The one steve posted is for a regular pattern but other then that thats exactly what they look like.

I have a hurst with a pistol grip also and it works fine. RMVB with the brake on top. I got use to it right away.

Those posted up there look pretty serious. I bet they do work pretty good. The price is not much more than the normal ones every body uses.

I use the same Pistol grip quarterstick that JRracing uses. It works well, its very tight to get in the stock A4 upper console though.

i prefer a gate style way over a ratchet style. It's all in what you like though. The precision shifter is the best you can buy for a 3 speed. If it was a powerglide I could show you a bunch more installed pics. If a NHRA national event is coming by you some time soon, you can go to the manuf. midway and try out a bunch to see what you like.

heres a b&m shifter I put in a fox body mustang I did a bunch of work on. Chopped up the center console and made a new one with a lokar e-brake. The aluminum is either getting painted or covered in upholstry. pretty nice shifter.
