Default Gear Ratio?

My RPO codes sticker is gone!

What gears do you guys think I have?

Its a '95 M6, 6th gear at 60mph is right at 1500rpm.

Not sure if I have posi either, and I don't want to be mean to these nice tires...yet

Thanks!

T56 transmission with a 3.73 gear should turn ~1500 rpm at 60-61 mph with the stock tire size.

Should be still the stock 3.42's But based on the calculator it is saying 3.73.

http://www.f-body.org/gears/

The car may had a gear swap in the past or your tach is off which it can be. I would not trust it and I would assume to go and use a hand held reader or lap top to measure the true RPM.

Also you can go old school and chalk the driveshaft and measure the revolutions.

Yeah I didn't think any car came stock with 3.73's...

And its all stock, that I know of other than the K&N intake, the exhaust has a pretty good rumble, but not much of an aftermarket one if it is.

I have a GPS system which says I'm pretty much going the same speed as my tach says, as much as that can be trusted.

Weird that my RPO codes have been ripped off...

I think I'll try and track down the original seller, or just poke around in the car a bit more

Thanks guys.

A stock tach is not to be trusted.
