Default tires for a 19" rim.

I have searched and haven't found a good picture but I'm curious what would work better a:

325/30/19 (stock Z06 tire I believe)

or a

315/25/19

For some reason that 25% sidewall rating just seems small to me. My question is though, would the bigger sidewall really look goofy? They're going on a 11" wheel btw.

Factor this into your vote/answer as well. When looking on ebay, you can find a used set of 325/30's for ~$250-$300. Where as with the 315/25's, I haven't found a used set yet, and the new sets are ~$650+++...

I've looked at the 305s, but honestly on an 11" rim, I'd preferably like to go with a 315 or bigger. I like the meaty look.

The 315/25/19 is to short! (25.2")
I would go with a tire that's too tall over one that's too short.
Maybe a 315/30/19 (26.44")

General UHP, 325/30/19, $202 ea.
These are 1" taller than stock height, and will fit fine as long as you have the correct wheel offset.
This is in the rear only, of course.

honestly im running nitto 275/30/19 on my 9.5" rims and they look small. i would believe 25 would look like rubber bands. u would pretty much be riding on the rim.

19" tires are gonna be very expensive. i had a hard time finding tires for a cheap price. i agree with 99bluz28, u might wanna look into a 315/30/19 tire.

There are some decent 295 and 305/30-19 Michelin PS2s (OEM Porsche rears) on ebay for $80-$200 ($550 NEW). Arguably one of the best (and lightest) true street tires. These are 11.5" and 11.7" on a 10" rim, so they should be a good 12" wide on a 11" rim, plenty wide but still a good/do-able fit in the Firebird's rear wheelwells.
I have put 325s on a 11" rim, and they will NOT be 13" wide. Even though, they barely fit under a C5 Z06, so I would imagine they will be a chore to fit under a F-body.
305 and 315 are good for a 11" rim, but that 315/25 will ride rough. I highly recommend getting close to 26" tall for a 19" tire (front and rear).

Quick Reply: tires for a 19" rim.
