Default Are you NANO users happy with it?

Are you guys pleased with the nano setup? I'm thinking about using one next year when I put the spray on my car. I have a small 15lb battery and a n20 heater will kill it. So I think the nano will be a better option.

When it works correctly, it's the ****. While everybody else is fighting to keep their temps correct, all you need is a cooler with some ice. The colder the better. The problems that we've seen have more to do with logistics and a couple of finicky valves. One big problem was that there isn't anyone around here willing or able to fill the NANO bottles. My buddy ended up having to shell out a bunch of extra cash to setup his own mother bottle to fill them himself. It's not like we live in the sticks either. We are talking about west palm beach, fl here. We've had some issues with the valve leaking on the Nano tank aswell. This seems to only be a problem when you first open the valve. Once you jiggle it a bit and can get it open without a leak, it's good to go and doesn't leak anymore.

Same issue here. The closest place I can get my filled is 30 minutes away and the opposite direction of the track. Good news is it is only $5 to fill the 4500psi bottle.

I really like my NANO. It has worked perfectly. Deadly consistant ETs. No more screwing with the damn heater. Fill up the NANO tank at a paintball store. I only pay $2.50 per fill.

I have a lot of places around here to fill it. It's good to know it's cheap to fill.

Anyone else have problems with leaky fittings or valves?

JR - This is Chappy off IHP, I've got a Nano setup I'm going to run on my car here very soon. I'm hoping to have it on by the time the shootout happens, but it's getting pretty close and I don't have the kit installed yet... I'll let you know how it goes, and you can feel free to check it out.

The Nano lets you use all of the nitrous in the bottle. No more et's falling off after the first few runs. I only use a 130 shot and after two runs I can already expect slower times after that point. When you refill the nitrous bottle you refill the Nano.

If you do a search on here there is more track and dyno times.

Ruckus46gt

Jeffrey Pelc, Luke AFB in Glendale, Arizona. My previous best in the car before Nano was
60'......1.618
330.....4.732
1/8.....7.340
mph....93.683
1000...9.534
1/4.....11.496
mph...118.819

After Nano
60'.....1.547
1/8.....7.040
mph....96.990
1/4.....11.048
mph....123.081

The nitrous jet was kept at a 100 shot and the fuel was bumped up to a pill for a 125 shot. I am using an HSW 78mm plate kit currently.

afr is power, everybody knows that, afr is affected by n20 press. lower press. equal richer afrs. one quick way to ck. the efficiency of the nano, compared to the bottle heater, is to purge for 10seconds and watch the bottle guage for press. drop. you won't see a drop with a nano set-up. with a bottle heater there will be a press. drop for sure and hence a mph drop in the 1/4. i ran 150w 11.29et 123.36 1.660 on 100oct, 15deg. timing 11.2 afr. with the bottle heater, and my most recent personal best,on the nano, with a 100w is 11.4 at 122mph with 18deg of timing and 11.5 avg. made 5 runs with 15lb. bottle, i think i could have gotten 2 more runs, but 5 is quite a bit for a day at the track anyways. the bottle had 5.5lbs. left. the other factor that comes into play on the street and it's key, provided there is no leaks in the line connections, is with a bottle opener and the flick of a switch your are ready to run anyone. there is no waiting for a bottle heater to heat your bottle. ohh also forgot to mention that i was on street wheels on the 100 nano shot wereas on the 150 i was on the skinnies. stay tuned, i will be spraying the 150 soon with the street wheels. they weigh a ton.

When using a nano setup, do you not have a blow down tube?

My boss ordered two of them for his setup. He hasn't used them yet because we are just finishing up the new motor install and some wiring and what not but one thing that stood out for us was the horrible quality of the supplied valves.

It may come from being that we are a CNC machine shop, but the extrusion lines on the material and the outrageous burrs on the threading were a complete turn off when you spend that kind of money. It definitely looked liek cheap *** Chinese ****.

Luckily we used to make paintball parts by the thousands so we had a few of our own laying around and threw them on. Everything else at least appears quality.
